Paper planes - Math

In mathematics this rotation we have been learning about geometry and algebra. In algebra we have been focusing on how it ties in with science. So the velocity formula, we used this formula to figure the speed of how fast we would throw the paper plane a certain amount of meters. This is my group and I's finished presentation, with our times and distances. Here is my presentation. 

Reflection

- I enjoyed this rotation of maths because I feel as if we learned a lot of different things and understood more about different types of maths, and how it ties in with different things we need in life.

-I also like how we're allowed to drink water and eat in class and while still doing work.

Lemon power - Science

Lemon power

Voltage: Voltage is the energy that electrons get from a power supply. Voltage is used to make electrical components work, like light bulbs.

Current:Current is the moment of electrons. We measure current using an ammeter. An ammeter measures how many electrons pass it every second. Its is measured in Amps (A).

Aim: To create voltage out of a lemon.

Method

1. Roll the lemon out so the inside is liquid.

2. Stick a piece of zinc and copper into the lemon.

3. connect the lemon up to a voltmeter.

Discussion : When we rolled the lemon we made the inside liquidy. What we did was we freed up all of these acidic charged particles. When its solid, Nothing is moving but when we make a liquid all of the particles move around and create a circuit. When we did it alone the voltage was 0.3 volts. But with the whole class it was 2.3 volts.

In the past week of art we have been looking at photo montages specifically Hannah Hoch. We decided to create  our own photo montages using Hannah Hoch for inspiration. Here is the photo montage I made.

Timeline - Social Studies

I decided to study about Rosa Parks because she lived her whole life fighting for Civil Rights which amazes me because no matter what challenges and obstacles she faced she always had hope and never gave up. She inspires me to fight for what I believe in, in life and to never give up no matter how hard it gets.But here is my timeline on Rosa Parks. 

Group project - Music

On Friday in music we had to present the project that we researched with the student teacher.We worked in groups for this presentation me and my group researched about r&b. We did a slideshow to represent what we learn't in the last few weeks.Here is my groups slide show we presented.

Music performance - Music

Here is my music performance that I recorded it isn't that long seeing as I learn't it in half of 1 period. The rest is the questions I had to answer about the last two terms and my performance. Enjoy.

What instrument did you choose to learn and why ?
 - The instrument I choose to learn was the piano/keyboard.
 - I choose this instrument because I felt like for me it was the easiest thing to learn and I felt comfortable with learning the piano and keyboard.

What song do you choose to learn and why ?
 - The song I decided to learn last minute was blinding lights by the artist the weekend.
 - I wasn't going to learn this I was actually doing the research. But when I saw someone else playing the song I wanted them to teach me it because I liked the song in general.

What was challenging about the piece and how did you over come it ?
 - For me the timing and speed of the piece I did was hard to get it right.
- But also the technique you had to use with your hands was quite difficult with the speed.

Were you happy with your final recording performance ? and why ?
 - I was pretty happy with my finished product because I learnt it in a very short amount of time so I don't think I did that bad. Especially for how much I managed to learn in very little time.

What would you change about your performance if you could do it again ? and why ?
 - Yes would change something that I felt I could've done better or different. I would change the speed that I played the song seeing is I feel like I did it to slow compared to the song

Were you happy with your overall grade and why ?
- I have not got my overall grade yet.

What have you enjoyed about music this semester and why ?
 - I enjoyed everything in music this semester.
 - I enjoyed getting the sheets of paper to learn new songs on the piano.
 - But also enjoyed in term one getting to try every instrument to see which one we actually felt comfortable to play.

Quarantine - Physical education

This is some of the few things I did during quarantine. There listed in things that are positive and negatives so things I liked and disliked when I was in quarantine.

Positives 
 - I went for a walk around the block.
 - I got to sleep in more.
 - Watching Netflix.
 - Did more baking and got taught how to cook dinner. 
 - Spent more time with my family 

Negatives
 - My plans were ruined for the holidays.
 - Couldn't go out and see people.
 - My routine was ruined
 - Not getting a lot of my work because it was confusing.
